Studio Shots

The process of making the "Glow" images starts with the preparation of the styrene plate and paper and moves on to mixing the ink and making test images using the etching press in my studio. For the larger images, I rent the facilities at Open Studio in Toronto to make the blended rolls, working up to twelve hours each time. I finish the art in my studio.

Distributing the ink

Inking the plate multiple times to build up the colour saturation

The styrene plate is inked and run through the manual press, re-inked and re-printed up to six times, so exact positioning is critical
